Body sugar waxing uses a paste that is 100% natural and made from a combination of sugar, water and lemon juice. The sugar paste is applied against the hair growth and removed with the hair, which results in better hair removal and less pain than waxing. Sugaring has been around for many moons – in fact, it was the hair removal technique used by Cleopatra!
There are no synthetic fragrances in sugar paste, and as it is hypoallergenic, it’s even suitable for those with sensitive skin.
*Hair should be between 5-15mm in order to be removed effectively
*For best results, please do not moisturise on the day of your sugaring appointment
Body sugar waxing is a hair removal technique using a natural sugar paste made from sugar, water and lemon juice. The paste is heated to just above room temperature and is used to remove the hair by the root. The sugaring technique causes less irritation than hot wax and clients experience fewer ingrown hairs and more permanent hair reduction over time. During the sugaring process, the paste is removed in the same direction as the hair growth to remove hair from the root. Waxing is the opposite which often tears hair just below the surface of the skin. Body sugaring is less painful, less ingrown hairs and has a higher permanent hair reduction rate whilst being vegan and chemical free. There is also far less waste than waxing and nothing to add to landfill as the sugar paste is water soluble. Thats a win for you and a win for the environment too!
Body sugar waxing works best on hair that is 5-15mm in length, so be sure to let your hair grow out before your appointment.
A day or two before your appointment, gently exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells and any buildup.
On the day of your sugaring appointment, avoid applying any lotions or moisturisers to the areas that will be sugared.
Wear loose-fitting clothing that won’t rub against the sugared area after to your appointment to avoid any irritation or discomfort.
