If you haven’t already heard the exciting news, founder and CEO of Earth and Skin, Louisa Hollenberg has been announced as a finalist for the Gold Coast Bulletin Women of the Year award for 2021!
With over 100 nominations for the prestigious award, it is an outstanding achievement to be awarded one of 21 finalists. The award is divided into seven categories each focusing and celebrating efforts in sport, entrepreneurship and entertainment just to name a few.
Louisa is a finalist in the “Wellness Warriors” category which honours “Women inspiring healthy and active lifestyles – by their influence or through business to women of all ages.”
Since opening in 2014, Louisa and her team have helped treat and educate over 5000 women about the importance of self-care and wellbeing with natural, organic and low-tox treatments. It doesn’t stop at the day spa about getting her important message out. She has written a book, “Clean Skin in a Dirty World” and produced a podcast “It’s a Dirty World” to help shed light on the importance of natural skincare and wellbeing.
We asked Louisa to tell us about her journey and what it means to be nominated as a finalist:
“My mother’s breast cancer and my issues with fertility made me aware of the ways our small habits can affect our health. I turned those two events into the driving force behind my passion to help women put themselves first and improve their well-being overall.
That’s why all my efforts go into creating platforms to reach as many people as possible. Whether it is visiting the spa, reading my book or listening to my podcast I hope I can help women see the value of putting themselves first.
Being announced as a finalist for the Gold Coast Women of the Year award makes me feel humbled and honoured to be among the other incredible finalists. Your vote would mean the world to me and help me reach more people in my goal to make women prioritise their own self care.”
