I was lucky enough to have lunch with Jacqueline Evans a couple of weeks ago and it has prompted me to write this post about her range of skincare.
When I started Earth and Skin I was looking for skincare ranges to stock that were free from nasty chemicals that many skincare ranges use. I wanted something simple, beautiful and something that worked.
I was so lucky to stumble upon Jacqueline Evans Skincare when a friend posted a photo of her products on Facebook. (you gotta love social media!)
When her products arrived and I tried them I knew I’d found something special.
A bit of background to the Jacqueline Evans Skincare story.
Jacqui is, first of all a gorgeous human being! She started her journey as a naturopath and then travelled to the UK where she was introduced to creating cosmetic products. After making custom skincare products for her clients she soon realised the demand for natural, organic skincare in the Australian market and Jacqueline Evans Skincare was launched.
Jacqui is committed to using the best organic ingredients in her products which is really obvious when you try them. They smell amazing and leave your skin looking and feeling fantastic.
Ok I’m a big fan!!
And all my clients who have tried her products are as well. In fact when I said I was going to meet Jacqui, a client said to me ‘tell her I love her!’ – true story – that is the power of great skincare!
Lets start with a review of the basics everyone should have in their daily skincare regimen. Cleanser, Toner & Moisturiser.
Castille Cream Cleanser
The Castille Cream Cleanser is pH balanced which means it has a similar pH to your skin so it won’t leave your skin feeling tight or dry. It is rich and creamy and feels beautiful on your skin.
Use it on wet skin and you only need a small amount, about the size of a 5 cent piece so it will last for ages. You can even use it in the shower. The best part is that it remove all make-up, dirt and dead skin cells. I use it with the Muslin cloth which helps to add some light exfoliation for a really fresh feeling.
Rooibos Facial Toner
Toner is actually a really important part of your daily skincare. Toning helps to reduce pores, assists with balancing the pH of the skin and gets the skin ready for moisturiser.
I love the smell of this toner. It comes in a really handy spray bottle so you can just spritz a few times over your face after you’ve cleansed and you’re toned and ready for some moisturiser! You can also pop it in your handbag and spray it on your face any time of the day as a bit of a pick me up! Refreshing!!
Argan & Rosehip Moisturising Cream
For those with dry or normal skin, this moisturising cream is a must! Every night when I use this my husband tells me I smell good!
Jacqueline Evans really understands the importance of beautiful smelling products! This moisturiser smells so divine and fresh you’ll almost want to eat it!
Argan & Rosehip Moisturising Cream is rich in essential fatty acids which help to lock in moisture. And let me tell you the Argan Oil Jacqui uses in her products is straight from Morocco and is rich and thick and full of goodness. Quality ingredients are obvious!
Added bonus? – The fields that source the Argan Oil employ mostly women so you are helping to keep women in less advantaged communities gainfully employed! Girl power!
Jojoba & Camellia Balancing Cream
This is the best moisturiser for blemish prone or oily skin.
A little goes a long way so just a pea size amount, rub it between your fingers and pat it onto damp skin. This moisturiser smells amazing so you get the added benefit of aromatherapy while you are treating your skin.
How it works? As the name suggests, it balances sebum production of the skin which can tend to be overactive in oily skins. It soaks into your skin quickly and it won’t take long to see a great improvement in your skins condition!
I love the entire range of Jacqueline Evans Skincare and if you are ready to make the change to natural, organic skincare then you can’t go wrong with these products.
