I lost my sense of smell a few months ago. I thought it was because of a cold I’d had but then had a couple of weeks away from work and my smell came back. Then when I returned to work, sure enough – it disappeared again. I was working as a nail technician doing mostly acrylic nails. The fumes from the liquid of the acrylics, the acetone used to soak them off and the dust in the air had all contributed to my loss of smell.
I went looking for an alternative and thats when I found the Bio Sculpture Gel Enhancement System. I fell in love with the product and took all my acrylic and shellac products off the shelf and became a Bio Sculpture convert!
So what is Bio Sculpture?
Bio Sculpture was developed in South Africa in 1988 and is a system of both enhancements (extensions or tips as most people would know them) and gel overlays (like shellac – but way better!).
This durable system helps to protect and nourish the nail bed and promote growth while creating an immaculate looking nail.
The process goes like this: –
- Your nails are filed and cuticles manicured then clear Base Gels are applied directly onto the natural nails to give stability (less breakage) while still being flexibility. Make note that there is no priming or filing of your nail like other nail enhancement systems. Your nail is truly protected and kept healthy!
- Strengthening Treatment Gels and fine china silk are used to either extend short nails, build strong natural nails and prevent splits from continuing any further. Enhancements are done using a form and sculpted over your natural nail so there is no ugly plastic tip or glue used.
- Now the choice is yours to either keep them clear and natural or pick a colour from over 150 colours in their range. The colour gel is applied and a top coat gives that beautiful shine we love.
- Each coat is cured under a light which is an LED not a UV! So when your manicure is finished you are dry, scratch proof and ready to go!
